Signature programmes

Where skills become passions

The Trinity of Teaching begins with each scholar’s gifts. These programmes give those gifts real tools, real mentors and real competition.

Programmes run in different grades and years. Ask admissions which are available for your child’s grade.

Aviation

Our aviation programme introduces future pilots and aviation professionals to every part of the industry. Scholars practise on flight simulators in class and see the real thing from the control tower.

In December 2022 the programme marked International Civil Aviation Day with a ceremony that welcomed the Minister of Education and a 24-year-old captain flying solo through seven countries.

Culinary arts

From knife skills to plated desserts, scholars cook in a working kitchen and compete against the best young chefs in the country. Junior scholars also study Culinary & Clothing as a subject.

Akhepran won the Junior Division of the New Providence Young Chef competition in 2022 and again in 2023.

More ways to learn

Law & public speaking

Understanding the law of the land is part of being a citizen. Our Law Skills class introduces scholars interested in law to how the law of The Bahamas works, while public speaking is practised in every grade.

Entrepreneurship & finance

Scholars learn entrepreneurship and financial management, including bookkeeping with QuickBooks, so they can manage money and build enterprises of their own.

Cosmetology

In our Cosmetology skills class, scholars learn hair and beauty techniques in a student salon that takes real appointments.

Gardening & food security

Food security matters for every Bahamian. Scholars learn to grow their own food, connecting science lessons with care for the environment.

Languages

Spanish, French, Mandarin and Sign Language are introduced through songs and drama. Latin has also been part of our curriculum.
